Get ready for an epic showdown at the MVP Most Valuable Poet Slam Semifinal #2 on Jan 22, 2024 - witness the power of words in person!

The second of our MVP Semifinal Slams and a Lizard Lounge Poetry Jam tradition! Slam poets have competed from September through December to qualify for the Most Valuable Poet (MVP) Slam events, which take place every January. Sixteen Poets qualify for the two semi-final slam events, followed by the MVP Finals.

Tonight’s second MVP Semifinal Slam features the following poets: Douglas Bishop, Jeannie Nunes, Jibril Haynes, Jorge Delgado, Kayla Kennedy, Lindsey O’Neill, Phifth Mania, and Taqwa.

These slams are super-popular and always feature extraordinary spoken word artistry. The top four poets from tonight along with the top four poets from the previous semifinal will move on to the finals on 1/29/24.
